My Young May Survive Yet.

A few years ago, many actually, I became a coffee drinker. When I gave up sodas coffee became my drink of choice. I know this is nothing unusual as most people drink coffee. However, when you like it, it's different than needing it. I know many people who NEED it. They really do; if they don't have a cup of joe in the morning they may kill and eat their young by lunch. I am not that bad...or so I thought.
Sunday night our BUNN My Cafe pod coffee maker broke. It just died. No big deal, I'll warranty it and get a new one. My wife tells me it's out of warranty and we will have to get a new one. I'm not thrilled with that idea since it was a $200 coffee brewer in the first place; I'm getting that sucker fixed. On monday when I contacted BUNN they told me they they will replace it under warranty, even though it's way out of warranty, but it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the new one to come in. Oh my god!!!! That is not going to happen, I can go a day or two, but not 4 to 6 weeks.

At that point, I decided I needed a back up. I ordered a Senseo on eBay for $32 w/ shipping thinking it will be a good back up to the BUNN and we can experiment with making our own pods with it. Well 4 days have gone by and I still don't know anything about the Senseo I ordered and I cannot go one more morning without a cup of coffee. Some one else might die and I already ate my young.

We went tonight and bought a Krups FME-2 regular drip coffee brewer. There is coffee in the Bacarisse house once again and soon there will be 3 coffee makers in this house. That may be a bit much, this I know, but not having coffee another day is just not an option. Even if the irrationality of it lead to having way more coffee makers than I can possibly use.
